It was just another day of training, and team Gai had just sat down to
eat they're bento's. But, then Tenten spoke up un-expectantly.
"U-um....D-do you guys r-remember what tommorrow is?"
She asked, sounding like Hinata.
"The twenty-fifth of December" Said Lee.
"So?" Neji asked.
"Soooo...." Tenten said, raising her eyebrows.
....*Silence*....
"CHRISTMAS!!!" Lee half-screamed half-shouted.
"Yep!" Tenten said with a happy smile, glad that they (or atleast Lee)
rememberd.
"So?" Neji said again with a seemingly bored expretion. But Tenten knew better.
Neji was curious.
'Neji looks sooo cute when he makes that face!' Tenten thought lookig down
so her teamates couldn't see the blush that was blooming on her cheeks.
"W-well I thought that we could have a....A party and invite all of the 'rookie 9'
too....Umm....Celebtare." She said, her face resembleing a beet by now.
'Man. Tenten looks SO hot when she's blushing!'
"What the-!?!" Neji pretty much screached out of shock, a bit of a blush on his
face, eyes wide.
"Um....Neji-kun?" Lee said coutiously, while slowly scooting away from Neji.
"Why did you just screach 'What the-!?!', and then blush?
And now you're gazing into space with a weird look on you're face."
Tenten said a bit mater-of-factly.
"I-it's nothing. Sorry to....have interupted you Tenten."
"Um....It's okay....Just don't go crazy on us Neji." Tenten said with a gentle smile.
"Hn." Neji said after (seemingly) geting calm.
But on the inside, he was close to hyper-ventalateing.
'Who. The. Heck. Are. You!?!'
Neji said, with one eye mentaly twitching.
'I'm you're inner-self, stupid.' Inner-Neji said arrogantly.
'Greeeaaat.' Neji thought sarcasticly.
"So, we meet at my place for the party? Around, 3:00pm?"
Tenten asked. (Altho, she already sounded like she'd made up her mind.)
"Yes! Our beautiful flower is so smart!" Gai-sensai said.
(Whilest doing the 'good guy' pose, I might add^^')
"Yes Gai-sensei! I agree! Our beautiful blossom is oh-so smart!"
Lee said with inthusyasm.
"Lee!"
"Gai-sensei"
"Lee!"
"Gai-sensei!"
"LEE!!!"
"GAI-SENSEI!!!"
*Que hugging/crying/sunset*
"Erm....I'm just gonna go home now." Tenten said, looking nausious.
"Hn....Me too." Neji said, not looking his best either.
"Would you like me to walk you home Tenten?" Neji asked politely.
"No thanks, Neji." She said coldly, thinking he thought she couldn't handle
herself.
Neji sighed.
"Tenten. I've known you since the acanemy. Why would you think I of all people
think you're weak?"
He said, practicly reading her mind.
She smiled, wondering how she had thought he thunk of her like that.
'Woman pride.' Her inner said smugly.
"Are you coming Tenten?"
Said girl was woken from her train of thought by Neji's voice.
"Oh, yeah! Coming Neji!" She replyed happily
Tenten caught up too him and started walking.
It was very peaceful (a welcome break from the constant shouts of 'youth!',
hugging/crying/sunsets- -') and tranquel.
It even started to snow.
When they reached Tenten's house, they're shoulder's and heads where
covered in the powdery subtance.
Neji reached up his hand to brush away the snow from her shoulders.
When he was satisfiyed that her shoulers where snow-free, he went to do the
same to her head, but stopped when he saw what was above they're heads.
"Neji? What's wrong?"
Neji didn't awnser. He just stared, horrified, hand still raised stupidly, at
what was above they're heads. Tenten looked up, then blushed.
What she saw nearly gave her a heart-attack.
There, just above they're heads, was the infamous plant:
"Misletoe?" Tenten said, confusedly.
"How did that-"
But, Tenten was inturrupted by a giggle from the window to they're right.
Tenten whipped her head around just in time to see chestnut hair
escape her line of vision.
"....Mother...."
Tenten said through gritted teeth. She turned to her teamate, who looked
thouraly confused.
Tenten sighed.
"Neji, I'm so-" But, she was inturupted yet again by her flamboyant mother.
Hachi Chiose had un-locked the door, (in which Tenten had her back to) pushed
Tenten and closed the door.
Tenten was frozen. She had her lips connected to her long time crushs!
Who wouldn't be frozen!?!
She finally came to her senses, and (reluctantly) pulled away.
"S-sorry!!! She said turning red.
"M-merry Christmas, N-N-Neji-kun!!!" Practicly falling through the door, and it
being slammed shut.
Neji stood there, stunned, wet, and starting to put a tomatoe to shame.
Tenten had kissed him! HIM! Neji Hyuuga!
His face suddenly broke out into a enormes grin.
"Yeah...."
He said touching his lips.
"Merry Christmas, Tenten-chan."
Walking back home, smile and blush still in place, (altho it only grazed
his cheeks now.)
He thought that mabey after the next team training, he might ask Tenten out.
'I've got nothing else to lose.'
Neji was the happiest shinobi in the village that Christmas.
